MulteFire is an LTE-based technology, based on 3GPP specifications, that operates standalone in unlicensed or shared spectrum. By removing the requirement that you have to own licensed spectrum, MulteFire creates new business opportunities that allow industrial IoT verticals to deploy and benefit from the LTE technology and ecosystems. This talk will provide an overview of MulteFire and share key technology benefits when it is deployed in industrial IoT applications.
Christian Wagner has 20y+ experience in communications. Through several positions at Vodafone and Telefonica in the operations and planning area, where he also was responsible for the network quality of their industry customers, he moved to Kathrein, where he was responsible to introduce the digital distributed antenna system for indoor and outdoor coverage. Today, he works for m3connect, one of the largest WiFi Service Providers in Germany, to build a up a new business segment with a combination of WiFi, private LTE, MulteFire and 5G especially for the enterprise segment. With his team, he introduces wireless networks which meet the industry requirements in combination with new business models and use cases. Christian lives in Germany, is married and has two children.
