After receiving his Diploma in Media Computer Science Christian Piechnick started his PhD on “Role-Based Self-Adaptive Software Architectures” at the Technische Universität Dresden. Christian is one of the co-founders of the international workshop series “Model-Driven Robot Software Engineering” (MORSE) and the initiator of the “Robots in Saxony” (RoX) network. During his time as a researcher Christian worked in and managed several national and international research projects focusing on runtime reconfiguration of software. As the head of Smart Systems Hub Dresden application group, Christian was one of the Dresden Hub Initiators. In 2016 Christian was one of the co-founders of Ubiance, a startup focusing on human-machine interaction. In 2017 Christian founded Wandelbots together with 5 co-founders and joined the company as the CEO. Wandelbots is one of the leading Startups for robotic teaching software. Within the first 15 months Wandelbots has grown from 2 to 43 employees and recently closed a 6 million Euro Series-A investment round.
